TRADITIONS

Each of us have our own holiday traditions: preparing holiday meals and snacks, attending secular and sacred programs, and decorating our homes for a season of guests. The focus will be on creations with locally collected materials, involving young and old collaborations, and reviving old ornaments!

November: Dressing the Table

When planning your feast, don’t forget to plan your recipe for a wonderful collected centerpiece. Moving into the major holiday season, we will look at what’s outside once frost falls, availability on the cut flower market, and trending bleached products.

October: The Colors of Fall

Fall… A welcomed change of seasons and designs inspired by the colors and events of the season. Join Lynette as she shares some great fall floral designs.

Around and About the House

Living with flowers offers beauty to our homes but there are so many more benefits by reducing stress and depression, inspire innovative thinking, and refresh memory. Let’s look around our houses and lift our spirits with some homemade floral designs.

Floral Sweethearts

We will cozy up with some real sweethearts this month including great design styles, seasonal flower selection, and fabulous foliage collection ideas for February.

Tis the Season!

The holiday season is here! Join us for great tips from MSU’s Lynette McDougald AIFD, CFD on holiday decorating. Holiday designs will include evergreens, faux fruit, and fun holiday picks. She will create a good base that will last throughout the season so that fresh items can be moved in and out.

The Harvest

The Harvest season is here and we will talk about incorporating fresh flowers with produce, dried, and natural materials. Our “trans-seasonal” designs will take us into the winter holiday season.

Let’s Make a Halloween Design... TOGETHER

As a change of pace, Lynette will have some pre-made designs she’ll share, but much of our focus, will be a BOO-quet arrangement. It’s not as SCARY as you think to design, we’ll have step-by-step instructions.

What you’ll need:
